Everytime I say I am a jealous of something/someone my mom says "you aren't jealous, maybe envious, but you should never be jealous." I think her theory holds a lot of truth. but when it comes to Elizabeth Olsen's cheekbones, or Lily Aldridge's hubby, it's hard not to be. My current Caleb obsesion may be because I went to a KOL concert last night (AMAZING BTW), but really can you blame me?

I am a listener. I am a thinker. I am reserved. I live so much in my head that I drive myself crazy sometimes. Verdict: Today's shopping day was a absolute success; although, I came to the realization that materialistic items make me happy and I don't know how I feel about that. I don't consider myself overally consumeristic or materialistic, I just like nice things and a lot of options and when something is in my mind it sticks there. Nonetheless, it could be worse right? I think. I'll post photos tomorrow and I moved watch purchasing day one day ahead aka tomorrow because I just can't wait(SEE?)

AH it is so nice to be back to the blogging world and a big HELLO to my readers! I apologize for the much longer than expected hiatus, but I was just too busy this summer to keep this baby up and running. However, I am back, and regular posts will begin once again. Finally, school is out for the summer, HALLEJUAH! I am moving back to my hometown for the summer where its guarenteed 35C degree+ weather, soft sand beaches, returning to my job working in an orchard and a fruit market, and returing to my volkswagon golf and besties. If posts become lackluster or just lack there of I apologize, my laptop takes the backseat when its summer, but I will try my best. Have a wicked summer everyone (aussie readers - a great winter)!!!

Because we all need a $1500 Balmain basic white button-up. NOT! Sometimes, prices are a little ridiculous. Don't get me wrong Balmain is more than legit, but I would never in a million years pay this. Even if I was Kim Kardashian.

a shopping diet

So, to save money this summer(need to get a new place and need to pay for school in the fall) I have decided to go on a shopping diet for the next four months. I usually never EVER stick to budgets, but I think blogging will force me to obey my rules. So the details: I will allow myself one purchase/week(this involves clothing items, accessories, and makeup). If one week I need to buy mascara I wont be buying a new pair of shorts, if one week I buy sandals I wont be buying sunglasses, and so on. You get it. There would be an exception if an event was involved around shopping AKA a trip to the states, but thats it thats all. I spent way to much money last summer without ever evaluating what I already have in my wardrobe, so I spent a lot and bought a lot of items I don't wear/use. I honestly hopes this works. Any tips? Have you ever put yourself on a shopping diet?

PS I feel like everyone in the world is going to Coachella tomorrow except me. Boo!

1. This makes me laugh. At the beginning of the semester, my marketing prof asked every student to do the above. This was mine. Can you guess what it means?

2. Once again, this reminds me of how fast time has flown by. Summer break already? Anyways, this is just another reminder of how fast time/days/life happens and I have made my final decision: I am getting the tattoo I have wanted since a year ago this summer when I return home. What does this have to do with time you ask? Well, I want to get the infinity symbol really small and really simple behind my left year. This is usually when I get asked if I am really into math. No, I am not, but rather it would act as a daily reminder for myself that in my lifetime there is infinite places to go, infinite people to meet, infinite things to learn, but there is not infinite time. I have always believed strongly in this philosophy and when I bought my first used ipod from a pawn shop, the prior owner had "Carpe Diem" engraved on the back and since then the concept of cherishing each day has spoken very loudly to me.
